My new racket
I am the proud owner of a shiny new N-code N6.2 Wilson tennis racket. Ooo, exciting!

It is a racket for a long, fast swing, which is what I’m working towards in my tennis game. I had my previous racket for a little over 3 years, and really wanted to upgrade to the next level (my old one was a “moderate, shorter” swing speed). But alas, I have no money for such things. Or rather, I’d prefer to spend my money on other items, like food. Happily, though, I received a gift of a few pieces of tennis equipment (practice balls, shorts without pockets, etc) that were not really for me. So I returned them, and coupled with a coupon and a sale, was able to afford the last year’s N-code model I wanted! Hooray! Of course, it is black and white, just like my last racket. I really want a color one, but it seems all the rackets that suit my needs are always black and white! Oh well, maybe in another three years…
Today I’ll be spending my lunch at the tennis shop to get it regripped to fit my abnormally large hands. That way I don’t get tennis elbow tomorrow when I go try it out for the first time. (It needs restrung too, but I’ll wait on that, since it costs a lot more for restringing than regripping.)

Good stuff, tennis, yeah… Not that I play more than once a year or anything…
P.S. Did everyone miss me? I was at Boy Scout Summer Camp; the ambulance was called in three times. It was pretty sad, but pretty insanely funny ironic at the same time, I mean an ambulance at a Boy Scout Camp, you have to admit that’s pretty funny.
