Mailbag Q&A coming tomorrow
Finding this question in the comments the other day:
“Quick question. When are you going to do the next blog Q&A?”
I decided to answer it with: Right now! I haven’t done one in a while, so now seems as good a time as any. Have some inquiry for me you’ve always wondered about? Post it in the blog comments today and tomorrow I’ll try and answer most, if not all of them.
I also wanted to respond to this comment where everyone would see it:
“I’m going to have to agree with “That One Guy” here, JKR.. Your cartoons and comics really seem to be showing their age. Have you ever considered a different profession? I’m sorry if that sounds rude, I’m usually very blunt. But you don’t seem to be happy running this website and it’s starting to show in your work.”
I’ve considered a lot of different professions. I switched majors four times in college because of it. 
But no, animating the Fred cartoons is very much what I want to do, and I’m enjoying it immensely. What I don’t enjoy, and is often reflected in the blog entries, is being late with the updates. I really hate it, and am pretty hard on myself when I fail to make a deadline. It’s something I’ll continue working on, and hoping that I improve over time.
That said, I’ve found in my life that people’s taste change as they grow and have new experiences. While I once wouldn’t miss a Simpsons episode every Sunday evening (or Thursday back then) I now go whole seasons without seeing any, and catch up when I can. That’s not to say it’s a bad show (though maybe not as revolutionary as it once was) because there are still some hilarious moments to be had. My point is, at some point the Fred the Monkey cartoons may not be what you’re looking for, and that’s totally okay. There are a lot of awesome cartoons on and offline that you might prefer. I hope that everyone who does still enjoy the cartoons will keep watching, though, because I personally think they’re only going to get better as I learn more and more.

Hey JKR,
You said some time ago that you have several cartoons already in the works/planned. My question is, do any of them take place outside of the fredthemonkey.com house, and if not, a suggestion: if you’re having trouble creatively, maybe try coming up with other locations for the characters to go so the toons dont have to be concerning laziness?

I remember I asked you like 2 years ago and you said she will be in the site launched…
You should do just one episode based around her atleast and then just leave it at that.

well i have been impostor-ed ohh well no can match my typing style and vocab so i win how do you liek those cherios huh? anywho i missed the deadline to ask question but have you used opera and would like to try it?
you should totally try its an amazing web browser and i recommend this to everyone who reads this. also id hate to put this on you but when are we getting our own blog setup so no one can impostor anyone. you mentioned in it in like…march i think but it seems like a good idea and would love to see it happen

Could we ever Just like for a second see a full picture of you?
Also, I hate being in like the middle of a cartoon when my BF calls me
and there is like no way I can pause the video.
Would that be a fixable problem, or is it like O.O.T.Q
