FtM celebrates 6 Years online!
Welcome welcome to the 6 Year Anniversary Celebration! From October 1st to October 6th there will be all sorts of little updates hitting FredtheMonkey.com to commemorate the six years online that the website has been through. What a six years it’s been.
First up, I received a lot of requests for a REAL version of Space Chicken’s Relax-cation. So he bought everyone else tickets to go see the new Bruce Willis movie- Die Hard 5: Die Hard While In A Robot Body- and got a few minutes of peace and quiet to record it. It may not be as amusing as the distraction-filled episode, but maybe it will help you meditate and relax a little anytime you’re stressed. Studies have shown meditation twice a day helps people sleep more soundly, you know.
There’s also a new poll up on the main page of FredtheMonkey.com, so go vote!
Friday, October 2nd: Though it is slightly un-related, Cubetoons also celebrates a milestone today with Comic #100! All spiffed out and in color and everything, so go check it out. This will be the final Cubetoons for now, with further explanation coming later.
Monday, October 5th: The updates continue with a look back in time and this Classic Fred Comic. Originally made as the front of an invitation for my high school graduation picnic party, you can see this was during a period when Fred had more googly-eyes instead of his solid black with white highlight set we all know today. I’ve often thought of returning to this look, as it makes it much easier to express emotion. It does take a lot of getting used to though…
Tuesday, October 6th: Hey everybody!!! Fred here! JKR let me talk on his bloggy thing so I could tell you I’m now on Facebook. I have no idea what I’m doing there! So I wrote stuff in the little boxes. I think I’m supposed to beg people to be my “fans” or “friends” or something there, but that’s not my style. I’ll plead with you instead. PLEASE BE MY FRIEND OR FAN OR WHATEVER!!! Also if you know what I’m supposed to do there, tell me. I have no idea. Sceb says I’m supposed to post my credit card information but I don’t think that’s right.
Wednesday, October 7th: Small break today, because a big 3 minute long new Fred cartoon is on the schedule for tomorrow and I’m busily working on it! I hope I can be done in time. It’s rather day-specific, so I need to have it ready to go by tomorrow night at the latest!
Fred really seems to be enjoying the Facebook thing. 
Thursday, October 8th, which just so happens to be Brittney’s Birthday: Today there’s an all new Fred cartoon for the last day of 6th Anniversary updates! And there’s a story to go along with it. I wrote a cartoon short to celebrate the anniversary. Short and sweet (and don’t worry, I’ll still do it and show everyone next week) I figured it would be a nice way to cap off the 6 days of updates. Then I was informed by one of the readers that today, October 8th, was going to be her 13th birthday. She requested an update, even just a tiny one, to celebrate. I can’t always do everything, but this was one instance where it just so happened that I could. So instead of a tiny update, instead of something “even just 10 seconds long”, Brittney gets her very own Birthday cartoon. A FULL cartoon, as when it’s all said and done it is in the “full cartoon” time length. I worked tirelessly for the past three days to get it ready for today, and though it isn’t in its final form, I definitely wanted to make sure it was up for the special day. So here it is, Brittney, and dear viewers. I hope it makes everyone’s day extra special and happy.

I continue to work on my patience abilities every day. The way I see it, I was once a pretty big jerk myself (back in high school) and if I can grow out of it so can anyone! It just takes time and help from people around you. Maybe I can be a part of that help, rather than adding to the problem.

Ooh, these updates gave me an idea: Mailbag Videocast. What if you posted a version of the mailbag on Youtube to be viewed and enjoyed by millions? Or on your website for download? The download would be especially be good for those who don’t have a PC capable of Flash (but yet mov files).

The reason this blog got a lot of posts is probably due to the gradual updating. If ya look up, there are people talking about the first update and so on. That, coupled with the fact a sad, lonely, pathetic creep is trying to get emotional responses out of strangers on the internet, is the reason why this blog has so many posts.

Really folks, it’s not worth arguing with trolls. It takes me all of three seconds to delete the offensive comments and then the effort is wasted. Ignore them, they only want attention.
